Kathy for more than 10 years actively donates to the Disabled Children’s Foundation and is now volunteering her time. (2 years).
Kathy loves the variety of volunteering opportunities which the Foundation offers, along with the family environment which has been formed within the organisation.
Kathy has been a volunteering in the not for profit sector 6 years prior to commencing with the Foundation.
Kathy is a passionate traveler and sports fan. Kathy is excited for the future, to see the Foundation reach new solutions to achieve their goals.
Chuck’s donated time to Disabled Children’s Foundation commenced when he moved to Australia some 9 years ago.
Chuck wishes to ‘help out’ in whatever capacity is required. He is now retired and therefore has time and abilities to assist within the Foundation.
Chuck is a keen fisherman and loves his lawn bowls.
Chuck’s great grandson has a disability and therefore his personal hope is to share the message and meaning of the Foundation, whilst they reach out to more groups within the community.
Tanya has been with the Foundation in a volunteering capacity since October 2019.
Tanya’s passion and drive comes from the sense of ‘giving- back’ to the community.
Her professional world in the banking sector for some 17 years has shown her to be an experienced and professional individual who displays a natural leadership style and have the ability to network and grow relationships quickly.
Her style is based upon superior interpersonal skills, an ability to create and lead a motivated team environment, drive initiatives and streamline processes to deliver on better outcomes.
Tanya’s busy life whilst also a mother of two young children has helped her appreciate special moments in life.
Her enthusiasm to help growth and to ‘make a difference’ is leaning on her ability to be a strong team player whom thrives in a challenging environment.
Helen is a key volunteer with the Foundation for at least 3 years.
Helen feels a personal connection with the Foundation as her husband and President Mark, has been in a wheelchair from a young age.
One of Helen’s most rewarding aspects about working with the Foundation, is seeing where the programs are supported and the knowledge that all amounts are a positive help.
Helen is a busy mum of twin teenage girls, and an avid sports fan, and has vast personal community involvement.
Going forward, Helen wishes a greater awareness of the Foundation.
Our Volunteers have engaged on many levels including Community Events, we appreciate and respect their time and energies.
